  2. How my memory was jolted by the word "Sodden". That took me back 50 years or so when it was popular as a swear word in the UK! Did Pooh say that?

    1. Sodden means saturated or soaked. But you knew that already! Pooh said Sod off !

    1. Don't know how you survive that kind of cold. To think entire populations survive it holds a type of fascination for me. I could not survive it.

    1. No complaints. Our winter with the exception of a few cold days has been relatively mild. Have hardly used heating at all.

    oh winter
    you're creeping up on us
you come too soon leave summer alone
i'm not ready for the cold and the storms you bring
pray leave the peace and the warmth with me
    just a little longer
    oh winter

  16. I worry that the sentiment be a bit psillanimous with Pooh offering up his teapot. It would extole more confidence had he offered his honeypot . . . Lovely to read regardless. xxx
