not a great idea
digging a hole to china
easier to walk

if he never calls
he's just not into you
give up it's useless

tears are quite useless
you will never persuade him
to read Sylvia Plath

mother theresa
embraced the useless people
unwanted rejects
These are really interesting -- I especially love the one of the girl trying to get her guy to read Sylvia Plath and the China one==a hole I once tried to dig. I'm not so sure about the useless people--Mother Teresa certain embraced sick and rejected people--but not sure I'd call them useless--consumptive and with TB maybe-- but I'm guessing that you are speaking ironically. k.

ReplyDeleteYour first three! - I'm still smiling. Digging a hole to CHina! Classic Uselessness.

interesting poems....clever!
ReplyDeleteAll are very nice. I dug the China hole, too. I think I was inspired by cartoons.
ReplyDeleteeasier to walk?
neither walking nor holes worked
I bought plane tickets
I remember as a kid, trying to tunnel to China. Still don't know why.
ReplyDeleteSometimes people just admire things that they can't have, quietly.
Then don't waste your time.
Can you have 'wanted rejects'?
ReplyDeleteA whole multi million dollar industry has been based on purchasing seconds called Rejects...so yes there is such a thing as wanted rejects...you're welcome!

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed all of them. Great job.
ReplyDeleteNice set! But I wouldn't call people 'useless'. Unwanted they may be but not intrinsically useless.
ReplyDeleteNo you may not... You also don't have any sense of irony.
