standing in the line of fire
she pretended she was a tree
always a good standby
in times of threat
pumping out chameleon overload
she disguised her arms as branches
no politically correct person
faithful to the green cause
would want to kill a tree
she scrutinised the situation
and judged this the best option
rather than isolating herself again
besides the old codger said
keep writing
he knew someone
would come gunning for her
she even contemplated throwing
on a cute kitten persona
or even a snow white impersonation
to appease her aggressor
but then why bother with such nonsense
fight fire with fire
old habits die hard
