how's this for magic
the milky way at Coona
close enough to touch
vast empty outback
expanses of bright sparkles
space space and more space
the music rings out
the italian priest blesses
the liverpool plains
This poem is supposed to be read in conjunction with the music of the above post." For The Weekend " I live near Coona for some of the time and the skies are famous for their luminosity and brilliance. Looking up at the milky way to the strains of Vivaldi is an incomparable experience. You would have to be a hard hearted atheist without a soul not to be moved to thoughts of a Superior Being by an experience like this.

ReplyDeleteah .... now that's heaven on Earth ... may be a desert but oh what a view ... I was curious about the third haiku though until I read your comment - ah Vivaldi rocks!.
ReplyDeleteMusic and nature both have a similar ability to reach deep within our hearts and move us in ways few other things can....and when we experience them merged together, it can be so overwhelming we can hardly contain the emotion, the joy, the vastness of it all. Sounds like you know exactly what I mean!!
