small yellow lilies
mouths open waiting for food
chirping and tweeting

what has he done now
each newspaper i open
feels like fish and chips

samba and rumba
carnivale in brazil
hasta la vista

a great piece for kids
"Carnaval des Animaux"
by Camille Saint-Saens

a wilted carrot
these foolish things remind me
... of you!
sunday scribblings

useful connections
the currency of friendship
a hollow concept
cry me a river
cried a river over you
from you, not a tear

sunday afternoon
canoeing down a river
nice way to relax

breaking a mirror
brings you seven years bad luck
a superstition
what about a heart
breaking a heart brings bad luck
bad karma for some
The quiet moments weaving down a river is good time well spent!
ReplyDeleteIndia was partitioned in 1947 when India fought for independence from the British!! Ever since the two nations formed have had a love hate relationship!! While India remains democratic, the neighbouring states have had violent incidents, with the military retaining the upper hand, for the greater part, with many generals holding seat of power in the government!!
DeleteThe haiku expressed there could be true of so many other nations, from recent times, having gone through turmoil, change of governments etc..and overthrowing the heads of state!!
India was a poor backward underdeveloped country with an illiterate .population when under the British rule but has now come a long way ahead from those times!! Indian history is very interesting and dates back centuries with so many invasions, a must read!! Thank you for your interest in India's history
Hope you've found the relaxing river. Have you?
