striving to stay sane
this world a pressure cooker
exploding with strife

have not got a clue
what comes first chicken or egg
philosophy game

her favourite day
sunday sleeping all morning
cat wakes her for food

messing 'bout in boats
lovely sunday thing to do
life is not so bad
odd bod nice couple
rowing their boat through a life
just paddling away

elegance in black
a quiet early morning
the city asleep

'do unto others...'
great idea for life,just don't
expect it to work
man will take and take
self obsessed ungenerous
nature of the beast

my black labrador
framed by a buttercup field
the best dog ever
Woof!

ReplyDeleteSo the Golden Rule is a myth? Is there not the slightest grain of truth to it?
ReplyDeleteOld Women Chatter
Well hopefully it is not a complete myth but I am speaking from personal experience ..I support Christian ethics as the best way to live (The Matthew quote in particular)but it seems to me it is a definitely a one way trip and quid pro quo is not part of the equation.I find the door mat position not in keeping with my sensibilities:)
DeleteThe above is me!
DeleteIt may or may not "work". That's not the point.
Delete"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Love God; love yourself; and love others. If it was easy, it wouldn't be so darned difficult!
Interesting take on the myth.
ReplyDeleteInteresting myth well told ....... or is it the truth well told?? ;)
