Haiku For Kerouac

frere iacques
dormez -  vous
night cap coming up

her kisses
stained with cherry brandy
combo carnal cocktail

on the road
those who wander
can get lost

sun ray peeks
through darkened curtain
awaking a hangover

hitching a ride
on a freight train
to nowhere

hot summer night
tickling his thigh
a false eyelash

  1. Ha. I love the last one. They're all good. Frere Jacques needs a night cap - that's funny too. Good writing.

  3. Okay, you really captured Jack here! The last one really made me smile -- but I think Jack would have approved of the whole batch.

    Bravo! :)

  5. Beautifully atmospheric. I first read the book in the 1960's and loved every word.

  10. I enjoyed this poem in the spirit of On The Road. You provide form which increases the power of a moment.

  13. The third and fifth are simple, common, but still amazing. I love them.
